Gabby Grant
Level 2 Stylist

Hey, Ya’ll!
I'm Gabby, your go-to hairstylist with roots firmly planted in Johnston County, North Carolina, right in the charming little town of Archers Lodge!
I’ve been working my magic behind the chair for about a year and a half now, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. I got my start at Mitchell’s Academy in Raleigh, and I proudly graduated in September 2022. But the most memorable part of my journey so far has to be my experience with a dementia client. She used to be quite the tough cookie, but we formed a beautiful bond. She trusted me with her hair and even brought me little tokens of her appreciation. It warmed my heart to know she felt safe with me.
One of the things I love most about connecting with my clients on a personal level is being the person they can trust and confide in. It’s incredible how a simple chat can make someone’s day better. Now, when it comes to my favorite services, I absolutely adore anything blonding related, a fresh blowout, or a crisp short length cut - think pixies and stylish men’s cuts. In my hairstyling arsenal, there’s one essential tool I can’t live without - the wet brush. It’s a game-changer for achieving those stunning locks. For me, hair care is about so much more than just looks. It contributes significantly to a person’s overall confidence and self-expression. A great hair day can make you feel on top of the world!
When it comes to customizing my services, I’m all ears. I pay close attention to every detail my clients share about their hair goals and preferences. Making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and satisfied with their hair is my top priority. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned in my hairstyling career is that you can’t please everyone, and not everyone will like you. It’s an important reminder to stay true to myself.
I stay inspired by tapping into the vast world of social media. Seeing how fellow hairstylists put their unique spin on things motivates me to find my niche in the hair world. When faced with a tricky hair challenge, I like to keep it simple. Sometimes, less is more. I analyze the starting point and the desired result to determine the best approach. I have a fantastic mentor, Mr. Pernell, who has had a profound impact on my personal and professional growth. He taught me to make decisions that are best for me, and I carry that wisdom with me every day. One of my proudest moments was putting my life on hold to pursue full-time cosmetology school and an instructor program. Graduating early and excelling in my career showcases my determination and dedication.
Outside of the salon, I love spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors (especially at the Art Museum), and watching movies. My upbringing plays a significant role in shaping who I am as a hairstylist. My parents worked hard in the blue-collar industry and never gave up, even during tough times. That work ethic has become a part of me, and I never stop pursuing my goals in my hairstyling career. I’m a true-blue country girl at heart. I absolutely love country music, especially the classics, and I’m obsessed with all things Western-related, from fashion to lifestyle. Southern-style cooking? Sign me up!
So, whether you’re dreaming of a fresh blonding makeover, a fabulous blowout, or a trendy short cut, I’m here to make it happen! I want you to leave feeling like a superstar!
