Leu Freycinet

Level 4 Stylist

Yo yo!

I’m Leu, and my journey into the world of hairstyling all began with my momma! As a kid, I’d spend hours waiting on the couch at a hair school just so she could get her hair done after a long work week. Watching her walk out looking and feeling amazing left a lasting impression on me. It was clear from an early age that I wanted to give people that same incredible feeling!

I’m originally from Florida, but I made my way from sunny San Diego to North Carolina, and it’s been a fantastic transition for me. I’ve been working behind the chair for a solid 10 years now, and I’m a proud graduate of Paul Mitchell San Diego.

One of the most memorable things about my journey as a hairstylist is the personal connections I’ve formed with guests. Sometimes, we’re not just hairstylists; we’re therapists too. But you know what? It’s been just as therapeutic for me to learn from them.

I love doing it all when it comes to hairstyling, but if I had to pick favorites, I’d say I’m all about that “lived-in low maintenance color.” And you can’t beat the feeling of a perfect blowout! As for my essential hairstyling tools, a trusty round brush and a powerful blow dryer are my go-tos.

To stay on top of my game in the ever-evolving world of hair fashion, I’m all about continuing education and learning from my talented co-workers. When I face a hair challenge that’s a bit tricky, I’m a big believer in teamwork - sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective.

My biggest inspiration in this journey is my wifey, who’s been in the hair game for over 20 years. She’s been doing hair for so long that she even styled my parents’ hair when I was younger! She’s been a constant source of inspiration, and I’m thrilled to share this career with her.

To cater to the unique needs and preferences of each guest, I always start with a thorough consultation. It’s all about understanding what you want and need. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned during my hairstyling career is the art of listening. People need to be heard, and when you truly master that, you can provide some phenomenal results. For me, hair care isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling confident and expressing yourself. Your hair is like a crown you never take off - it’s super important.

Before my hairstyling days, I spent 20 years in the hotel industry. That experience shaped my customer service and listening skills, making every guest's visit about more than just hairstyling - it’s about personal care and transformation.

When I’m not at the salon, you’ll often find me in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. Seafood is at the top of my list. I’m all about family time. We have two kids, a 4 year old girl named Alani, and our 8 year old boy named Ti Leu. They are definitely two of my greatest accomplishments! I’ve got a soft spot for binge-watching crime documentaries during my downtime. I can groove to old-school R&B all day long.

If you’re on the hunt for a hairstylist who blends expertise with a friendly ear and a dash of creativity, I’m your go-to. I’m absolutely thrilled to meet you and listen to your needs, so together, we can create a look that makes you feel pampered and empowered.
