Mandy Windham

Level 4 Stylist

You ready to party?

I'm Mandy, and let me tell you, my journey into hairstyling is filled with tons of party stories. You know what sparked my interest in this world? Playing with dolls and a pretty bad haircut I got back in 9th grade.

Now, I’m not a North Carolina native - I made the leap from the west coast in 2015, and I’ve been rocking it behind the chair for a whole 23 years! I’m a proud graduate of Vidal Sassoon. Moving to Raleigh and starting from scratch was a bold move, but it’s been an incredible journey.

I’m all about those “lived-in” colors, vibrant reds and coppers, and dimensional coloring that adds that extra pop!

Behind the chair, I hold this truth dear: Not everyone is for you, and that’s perfectly okay. It’s all about finding those fantastic connections with the folks who are. The best part of connecting with guests on a personal level? Their stories! Being part of their journey and making them feel like their absolute best self is a feeling that never gets old.

I take a cue from Gen Z, and dive into Instagram and social media to revel in the beauty of old things becoming new and elevated. I’m all about embracing change. It’s been one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned during my career - change is indeed good

!In my hairstyling arsenal, a trusty foiling board and Framar foil are absolute must-haves. And when it comes to customizing services, it’s all about setting hair goals through consultation. I’ve hit some great milestones in my career, and getting certified in braided hand-tied extensions has put me on a path I’m super excited about.

Hair care, to me, is all about self-care. The more you fill your cup, the more you have to give to others. Treating yourself - well, you need to wash your hair anyways, so why not make it a treat?

Outside of hairstyling, I’m all about pop culture in all its glory, and I can’t get enough of Bravo reality shows. British game shows and music in all its forms also have a special place in my heart. And here’s a little secret: I’ve always dreamed of playing the banjo and being in a bluegrass Metallica cover band.

Let’s get this hair party started! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Tom, Ariana, and Raquel. IFYKYK.
